MAKE IT A FAMILY ADVENTURE
Build, Draw, and Dream with KidZania
Little makers can test their skills in a building challenge, create custom buttons, explore hands-on art activities, and snap memorable photos along the way.
Science in Action with Sci-Tech Discovery Center
Learning has never looked this fun. Build simple circuits, turn everyday objects into computer controls with Makey Makey, and make some noise on an oversized interactive piano.
Kick Back and Relax at The Backyard
Head to The Backyard for live music, great food, and cold drinks. Grab a bite, recharge with the family, and soak up the energy before jumping back into your DIY adventures.
PLAN YOUR DIY CON VISIT
Not sure where to start? Here's one fun way for the whole family to spend the day together.
- Arrive at Fair Park
Pick up a map, spot colorful builds around the show, add your masterpiece to the DIY Color Wall, and let the kids help choose the family's must-do activities for the day. - Take on a challenge together
Head to the KidZania booth at the Kids Zone and see if your family has what it takes to conquer the Wall Building Challenge. Cheer each other on and put your teamwork skills to the test. - Make something to take home
Design a custom button at KidZania's Button-Making Station and create a one-of-a-kind keepsake to remember your day. - Catch a live DIY demo
Grab a seat and watch creators turn everyday materials into something new. Kids can watch the experts work and pick up ideas for the next family project.
- Take a breather in The Backyard
Pick up lunch from the food trucks, find a spot in the shade, listen to live music, and let the young ones burn off a little energy with lawn games while everyone recharges. - Experiment with Sci-Tech Discovery Center
Why does that happen? What happens if we try this? Kids can discover how cool science can be through interactive activities powered by the Sci-Tech Discovery Center at the Kids Zone. - Family Shopping Challenge
Explore the Show Floor and let the little ones find one project, product, or idea they want to try at home. The hardest part might be choosing just one.
